What We Expect From You:

•   Using  the  musical  gifts God’s given you to lead weekend worship experiences.

•   Leading weekend worship up to 46 times a year.

•   Leading weekly rehearsals for weekend worship.

•   Scheduling the band through Planning Center Online (PCO)

•   Learning the songs, arranging and changing keys of songs and communicating that to volunteers.

•   Artists / Apprentice Development by recruiting volunteers, training, equipping and apprenticing volunteers.

•   Pastoral care of worship team.

•   Must be able to sing well, engage an audience, and have a knowledge and understanding of his/her voice.  Must be able to hear and teach harmonies to volunteers.

•   Must be proficient on an instrument (guitar preferred).

•   Must understand music and be able to create charts and tracks for weekend worship (Use of Logic, Ableton and PCO).

•   Representing your campus in the weekly Arts meeting.

•   Ensuring the Media Computer is built and ready for weekend services.

•   Must be able to perform secular songs with excellence and with the same passion as worship songs.

•   A philosophical understanding of why secular songs are performed at 2|42.

•   Experience with IEM’s (In Ear Monitors) and playing to a click is required.

•   Must  have  a  heart  for  the  lost  and  broken  and  giving consistent input in weekly creative meetings with them in mind.

 

• Coaching campus arts team leaders


Worship Team: Overseeing the section leads of each position and making sure they have the resources to lead their sections.  Holding monthly section lead meetings to check up on the RPM’s of the team.

 

 

Sound Gurus: Overseeing the team leader to execute quality worship experiences through training & scheduling of volunteers, volume control, and maintenance of equipment.

 

Lighting & Media: overseeing the team leaders to

ensure quality worship experiences through the training and scheduling of volunteers, lighting presets to enhance atmosphere, and maintenance of equipment.

 

As a Staff Member

•   Meet leadership expectations

•    Attend “All Staff” and any other meetings your direct report requires you to

•   Emails/phone calls are to be answered within 24 hours

•   A “Whatever it Takes” attitude

•   Budget for all campus supplies and events for the Arts

•   Set  quarterly  goals and go over them with your Campus Pastor in monthly meetings 

 

Pastoral Duties:

The  Worship  Pastor will report to the Campus Pastor and Central Worship Pastor. He/She will become a member of our Campus Leadership Team. As such, the Worship Pastor will assist as needed with pastoral roles such as; baptisms, music at funerals, hospital visits etc…

The successful candidate will have a deep and growing relationship with God, active involvement in the leadership of a church, and a commitment to maintaining healthy accountable relationships. A Christ honoring lifestyle marked by, servant hood, generosity, joy, a love for bible study and prayer. A growing passion to shepherd others in their walk with God and to work effectively with many key leaders is necessary. Integrity in finances, relationships, and time management is expected.

 

Competency:

Outside of the expectations listed above, other leadership competencies are required: team building, vision-casting and training leaders for ministry; ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment; excellent working knowledge of the Bible; tactical thinker with proven ability to equip leaders and organize functional structures; transformational leader of leaders; effective communicator to adults of all ages; proven effectiveness in a multi-staff setting; able to connect multi-generationally.
