JOB TITLE: Technical Arts Director

STATUS: Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

SALARY: $18,000 - $20,000 per year Depending on Experience

SUPERVISOR: Creative Arts Pastor



Red Hills Church is a thriving and dynamic church in the college town of Newberg, Oregon. Our average aMendance is between 600-700 people with 200 students coming from George Fox University. The mission of our church is to inspire people to know Jesus. We have a vision to introduce people to Jesus through our entire region and county by planting future campuses. We are looking for energetic and dynamic people who want to join our team and help accomplish the mission God has given us.

The Technical Arts Director is a natural producer that oversees the technical execution of worship gatherings and productions. The Technical Arts Director leads a team of volunteers, ensuring team health, ability, and effectiveness. The Technical Arts Director Director oversees all technical systems throughout the various campuses of Red Hills Church.



• Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ evidenced in lifestyle, personal relationships, commitment to the church and work ethic.

• BA or BS degree in ministry or related field; or a minimum of three years experience in the ministry focus area of this position.

• Demonstrate spiritual maturity and character consistent with the Biblical requirements for leadership.

• Knowledge and high-level competency, with ability to equip others, in the following production technologies:

- Live Sound – Digital Audio Consoles, (Behringer X32)

- Live Video (Mul2-camera, Broadcast) Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio

- Lighting (Design, Maintenance, Control) Conventional & LED — Jands Vista System

- Technical System maintenance

- Media Presentation and Projection (ProPresenter)

• Experience in the process of designing, installing and troubleshoo2ng technical systems (Audio, Video, Lighting, Presentation, Projection).

• Capitalizes on opportunities to make our gatherings and productions better.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills that reach across generational barriers.

• Ability to multitask a broad range of projects and assignments and meet due dates in a timely fashion.

• Spiritual gils and talents including administration, encouragement, leadership, creative communications.

• The Technical Arts Director partners with the Creative Arts Pastor and Service Planning Team to develop and execute worship services by overseeing the technical teams, systems, and processes required to execute worship services and productions.

• Serves in the key role of weekend producer at one of Red Hill’s campuses each weekend.

• Partners with the Creative Arts Pastor in the critical and ongoing development of the weekend producer team that includes staff and high capacity volunteers.

• Leading and developing TechArts volunteers. Ongoing engagement in specific and focused equipping of all areas of the TechArts ministry.

• Administrates TechArts teams using planningcenteronline.

• Collaborate in the weekly process of creating service cue sheet package, especially the detail to ensure excellence in technical execution.

• Will work with the Creative Arts Pastor to develop, recommend and manage the Technical Arts Ministry budget. This includes reporting all expenses and reviewing budgets and budget line items.

• Collaborate with the Service Planning Team in designing worship services.

• Evaluating worship services and events

• Researching potential service elements

• Oversee all technical systems in church venues, ensuring technical system needs are met for ministries.

• Provide technical support in offices and various campuses.

• Strategically assist the Creative Arts Pastor in achieving departmental goals.

• Faithfully steward all resources in which this position is entrusted in a way that is above reproach and honors God.
