Job Title:                             Executive Pastor of Operations

Department:                        Senior Leadership Team

Reports To:                         Lead Pastor

Work Schedule:                  Full-Time (40+ hours per week)


Position Summary

The Executive Pastor of Operations oversees all operational areas of the church including human resources, facilities, information technology (I.T.), finance, and administrative offices. This includes the development and success of all staff, policies and the overall work environment. They shall oversee each department to insure a healthy culture and work environment that would be consistent with the Lead Pastor’s vision. This could include team building, strategic planning and strategic oversight. They will work in and create direct collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and the Departmental Leadership Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Executive Pastor of Operations is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:


Financial Oversight

  • Manage the budget, which includes reviewing and submitting the annual budget to Lead Pastor
  • May also require providing a quarterly briefing to a Board committee
  • Give direct oversight to directors and departmental budgets
  • Offer budget coaching to directors, pastors and staff
  • Oversee the health and success of Legacy Makers

Facilities Management

  • Oversee maintenance duties of the campus
  • Provide insight on campus development opportunities

Human Resources Procedure

  • Develop standard policies and practices
  • Serve as liaison to legal representation and consultation
  • Positively represent the interests of Evangel
  • Oversee all staff performance reviews

Information Technologies Development

  • Oversee digital development, access, integration, expansion, and protection
  • Maintain connectivity of all staff through updated platforms and equipment

Office and Workplace Environment

  • Oversee administration duties of the campus
  • Willing to diffuse difficult situations, conflict, and inquiries from non-staff members
  • The Operations Director is the last line of defense for the Lead Pastor
  • Provide leadership and direction for front-of-house office staff.
  • Handle all insurance matters

Other Functions

  • General office tech support as needed
  • Oversee success of all staff and essential functions responsible to this position

  • Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university or related experience. Preference given to those with Business degrees or experience.



Successful candidate should have at least 4 to 5 years related experience. Preference given to those with non-profit experience.
