Job Description:

Embraces and lives out our Mission Statement & Core Values.  Is a member of Alleluia!, and family is a member of Alleluia!  A team player who oversees, develops, and implements all aspects of worship and music at Alleluia!  Leads worship at all weekend services, and leads rehearsals for groups.  Uses Planning Center.  Understands our worship vision: a contemporary context and format, but able to draw from traditions. Strong knowledge of contemporary Christian muisc and worship formats.

 

Responsibilities:

Leading:

  1. Oversees the scheduling of, recruiting of, training of, and communication with all Worship personnel
  2. Leads weekly practices for all weekly Worship services, and all special services at Alleluia (Christmas Eve, Holy Week, Ash Wednesday, etc.)
  3. Recruits and oversees all vocal and instrumental soloists for worship
  4. Oversees all ensembles, adult choirs, groups for worship, or supervises staff who do
  5. Supervises staff/volunteers who lead youth and children’s bands, choirs, ensembles

 

Communication:

  1. Communicate with the Senior Pastor, Audio Tech Director, and Creative Director re: weekly Worship
  2. Communicates with all Worship Team volunteers.  Oversees Planning Center online for staff & volunteers

 

Recruitment and Training:

  1. Recruits, trains, and encourages all Worship and Music volunteers
  2. Provides Spiritual leadership for all Worship and Music volunteers

 

Administration

  1. Works with Senior Pastor on all aspects of worship.
  2. Uses Planning Center to coordinate all Worship Team Volunteers’ schedules, communicate weekly worship plans, etc.
  3. Weekly connects with Audio Technical Director and Creative Director re: sound and slide presentations.

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills

Education:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

5-plus years experience in Worship Leadership preferred.  Knowledge of contemporary worship songs required.
