Job Description:

The Woodlands United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced worship production manager for the purpose of organizing and managing visual content for worship and production volunteer base.

 

You Are:

  • Passionate about worship, regardless of style
  • Comfortable working with pastors, musicians and artists
  • Highly-organized and can work successfully in a tightly structured environment
  • Able to perform with excellent success in live production and deadline-driven environments

 

You Have:

  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Stagecraft and/or media production skills
  • Proven experience in managing people and relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent communication skills both in person and in writing

 

You Will:

  • Work with worship planning teams to create run-of-service schedules that include song content, pastoral notes, and production cues.
  • Manage a team of worship producers, and the coordination and planning details for weekly worship services in four unique worship venues 
  • Serve as a worship producer - this includes leading teams of staff and volunteers in producing cue sheets; completing equipment set-up; checking mic assignments; completing pre-service checks; and calling cues for production team during service
  • Work closely with the senior pastor, worship pastors and worship leaders to develop and manage worship content; including worship flow, set lists, last-minute changes, etc.
  • Proof all screen content for accuracy, spelling, completeness, etc.
  • Build and run worship graphics on a weekly basis
  • Compile, edit and manage song libraries on a weekly basis
  • Manage church copyright licensing procedures as they apply to music, video and streaming online
  • Develop and manage a dynamic, community-based volunteer program to support media staffing needs across all worship venues
  • Work closely with the scheduling manager to coordinate volunteer staffing and position assignment
  • Manage and assist in projects as assigned

  

  Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous live worship production experience in a church is a must
  • Previous leadership / team management experience is a must
  • 3-5 year experience in at least one of the following areas: worship planning, audio-video production, visual content creation, project management
  • ProPresenter & ProVideoPlayer; Microsoft Office Suite required
  • CCLI / SongSelect experience a plus
  • Photography experience a plus
  • Social media experience a plus
  • Experience with music and video copyright a plus

 

This is a permanent, full-time position. Weekly work schedule is Wednesday to Sunday. Hours are flexible. Work schedules also include major holiday seasons such as Easter and Christmas.
