Denominations: Non-Denominational
Church Size: 501 to 750
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

Life Church (http://yourlifechurch.org/), a 20-year old church in the northwest Austin, Texas, suburb of Leander, is seeking to hire an Executive Pastor.

Our church spent the first 14 years in 5 different locations. In the past 6 years we have been in our phase 1 building (we have 3 phases planned on our 20 acres), and we have quadrupled in size from 150 to 650. We are in 3 worship services, and we are about to break ground on our phase 2 building project, which will more than triple our current ministry space.

Leander is the fastest growing city in the nation of all small cities with a population over 15,000, and over the past 5 years has grown by more than 42%! Leander ISD is the largest school district in the county and the fastest-growing district in the state of Texas. We are surrounded by other rapidly-growing communities (Georgetown is the fastest growing city in the nation of all cities with a population over 50,000; Cedar Park is the 4th fastest growing city in the nation of all small cities with a population over 15,000; Austin is the 8th fastest growing city in the nation.).

The potential for great kingdom expansion is incredible. Because of the unique situation of the church’s recent fast growth, the individual must have the ability and passion to lead from scratch by creating scalable systems, processes, and ministries from the ground up and building organizational health into the church structure. The capacity to work in a growing, ever-changing ministry is necessary. The position requires a builder, not a maintainer.

To apply, please send a cover letter, resume (with at least 3 professional references), and a link to a video of you preaching (if you have one) to brian.lightsey@yourlifechurch.org.
