The History of Harvest Bible Chapel
In 1988, a group of eighteen people from across the northwest suburbs gathered to form a new church. They had a vision for proclaiming the authority of the Word of God without apology, lifting high the name of Jesus through worship, believing firmly in the power of prayer, and sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness. Harvest Bible Chapel was born on September 18, 1988 with James MacDonald serving as the Senior Pastor. Since that time, the Lord has worked amazing things at Harvest Bible Chapel’s midst for His glory. They are presently ministering on seven Chicago-land campuses and have over 150 church plants around the world.
