Worship / Youth Pastor

Full-Time Position

NorthRidge Fellowship is a growing church in Jerome, Idaho.  We are looking for someone who is being called to worship and youth ministry. As The Worship Leader they need to have a heart and passion to lead in worship and be able to plan, coordinate and lead the Sunday morning worship service. As the Youth Pastor, we are seeking someone with a goal to disciple the existing kids in the youth group and seek to reach the unreached kids in our community..

The Worship / Youth Pastor role is a full time position. Must be a born-again believer who displays the character traits of a pastor as recorded in 1 Timothy and Titus.

 

As Worship Leader

  • Be able to express God’s love through theologically rich music and personal witness;
  • Possess a knowledge and understanding of worship music, as well as skills related to working with volunteers;
  • Possess and demonstrate strong musical skills in accompaniment and performance; MUST be able to play an instrument.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills;
  • Possess versatility and skills adapting to both traditional and contemporary music;
  • Possess administrative capabilities in planning, organizational skills, and effective communication skills;
  • Possess collaborative skills in supporting a music ministry within the overall ministry of the church.

 

As Youth Pastor

  • Strive for students come to know Christ, are discipled, and live on mission with God.
  • Ensure the student ministry grows spiritually and graduate students who have a genuine faith.
  • Ensure all youth teaching is biblical, gospel centered, and applicable to the student’s lives.
  • Provide frequent and responsive communication to parents and youth workers concerning upcoming events, resources, and updates.
  • Maintain Youth Ministry social media presence.
  • Partner with parents through frequent communication and availability.
  • Carefully steward the Youth Ministry budget and prayerfully propose an annual budget to the Elder Board.
  • Recruit, equip, and empower volunteers in the Youth Ministry, being sure that each volunteer has an appropriate background check.
  • Invest in the lives of the students and families beyond Sunday and Wednesdays through small group meetings, discipleship groups, attending student events, visiting local schools, etc.
  • Create and maintain, in conjunction with the church calendar, a balanced Youth Ministry calendar that promotes spiritual growth and community.
  • Must be willing to work under and with the Senior Pastor and Elders to fulfill the total ministry of the church and perform other duties as needed.

Compensation $30,000/year
