Job Description:

The position will focus on youth but will also have responsibilities in the church including helping the lead pastor with Young Adults, small groups and other aspects of discipleship in the church.

Job Description:

Responsibilities below focus just on youth portion.

  • Be responsible for the teaching of the youth services.
  • Be responsible for giving students the opportunity to grow in their faith into action in practical ways.
  • Plan and oversee monthly activities/service events
  • Keep in regular contact with students through personal contact and social media. 
  • Regularly attend students games and events.
  • Council teens through difficulties as needed.
  • Help train and support parents in the equipping of their students spiritually.
  • Be responsible for keeping yourself growing spiritually.
  • Pray for the middle and high school students.
  • Lead parent meetings.
  • Assist parents in helping their students grow to be men and women after God’s own heart.
  • Encouraging and leading teen involvement in ministry opportunities.
  • Keep an updated schedule of activities and give it to teens and parents.
  • Share office responsibilities with Pastor.


Other areas of responsibility

  • Help lead College and Young Adults Ministry
  • Work with impact team on ways to impact local community
  • Participate and lead a life group
  • Help train and develop life group leaders
  • Able to preach in main service when lead pastor is not preaching
  • Help design and create 101 type classes.  New believer, baptism and membership.



  • Loves Jesus, loves people, and wants to impact the Kingdom.
  • Has 2-3 years leading in church or youth ministry.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Recruiting skills.
  • Leadership and management gifts.
  • Understands how to care about people and goals at the same time.
  • Likes designing and implementing strategies, systems & processes. 
  • Experience developing leadership in the areas of small and midsized adult groups.
  • A team player
  • A heart of a servant and willing to do the hard things to build a ministry.





Total compensation based on experience, skillset and education. May be eligible for receiving a portion of salary housing allowance, provided requisite pastoral and IRS qualifications are met.
