Established in 1972, Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, serving 932 students in preschool through grade 12, is located in the heart of Sandy Springs, Georgia, within the metropolitan Atlanta area.

The Opportunity.

We are quickly becoming a destination to design a better world. As such, the quality and complexity of our events are growing rapidly. From theatrical productions to weekly chapel, musical performances to TEDtalk-style events, we are seeking an individual who has the technical skill to help our team design and execute events that are unique and high-quality. We seek an individual who is an incredible communicator and relationship builder; someone who seeks to make events exceptional and can quickly solve problems in real-time. As our Visual & Performing Arts Team seeks to re-imagine how arts education can look, we are seeking a technician who has skill sets in audio engineering/production, theatrical light rigging, set construction, and a passion for working with students. We seek someone who is relational, organized & consistent, someone who is interested in breaking the mold by treating students like professionals and organizing unique projects/performances.


Important Qualities.

Technical Skills in Audio Engineering & Light Rigging

Organized Event-Planner

Relational Solution Seeker

Student-Centered Instructor/Trainer


Set design/construction skills preferred

Video production experience a plus

Someone who enjoys working with a wide variety of people & delivering exceptional customer service

Detailed planner: someone who can manage several projects simultaneously

Networked communicator: someone who knows people in the industry and can bring in outside professionals to help us operate more efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities.

Coordinate Technical Needs School-wide

Manage Technical Equipment

Co-design events/productions

Teach Audio/Lighting Tech Classes 2-3 hours a day

Coordinate students to help with tech needs and athletic, arts, & admissions events

Report to Director of Visual & Performing Arts
