Job Description:

Eagle Brook Church is a multi-site church looking for an experienced communicator and strategic leader to join our Central Ministries team as our High School Teaching Pastor at the Central Office located in Centerville, MN. This person will champion the vision for the High School Ministry and function as the main teaching pastor. A strategic and influential leader that is skilled as an excellent communicator will thrive in this role. POSITION SUMMARY

 

Creates compelling direction, innovative strategies, and excellent resources for student ministries in order to

accomplish our mission of reaching people for Christ.  Develops and casts ongoing vision for the ministry in collaboration with the Director of Student Ministries and Middle School Teaching Pastor.  Reports to the Director of Student Ministries.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Champions the teaching of relevant messages that help students to strengthen their relationship with Christ and with others.
  • Develops a long-term teaching plan and create resources for large group and small groups
  • Develops relevant and engaging creative components, games, and activities
  • Coordinates with the Director of Student Ministries and the Middle School Teaching Pastor to deliver a comprehensive programming plan to campuses
  • Invests in other student ministry staff and leaders (meetings, planning, training, etc.)
  • Organizes and executes retreats and other special events
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to develop ministry product, standards, and expectations
  • Develops a plan for the creation and delivery of various campus resources (registration, training, lesson plans, cue sheets, props, supplies, etc.)
  • Participates in pastoral duties including baptism, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and after-hours care
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 6+ years) required
  • 2+ years of ministry preaching/teaching and church leadership experience
  • 2+ years of experience in student ministry development and design
  • 2+ years of content development experience with exceptional communication skills; interpersonal, written, and verbal
  • Experience building, leading, motivating, and developing effective teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills ?
  • Ability to develop short-and long-range strategies to achieve departmental objectives, and identify opportunities for future growth ?
  • Ability to exercise sound, expert independent judgment within general policy guidelines
  • Meets the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership

 

WORK SCHEDULE

 

Generally, Monday - Friday. Must be available Wednesday nights for student ministries.
