Job Description:

Richwoods is looking for an individual with at least 10 years of fulltime church expereince working with children, students, or small groups to oversee the staff working with children through adult ministries.  Applicants must be able to generate synergy wtih staff and volunteer leaders, demonstrate the ability to lead through influence opposed to leading by title.


Position Summary:  The Director of FamilyLife is responsible for the Discipleship Path’s Belong and Become strategy for Richwoods under the direction and leadership of the Executive Pastor. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values and strategy of Richwoods and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with its mission, vision and values.  The Director of FamilyLife is responsible for creating and maintaining a set of balanced programs that provide engaging experiences and life-changing environments for children, students, and adults, including: small groups, gatherings, spiritual formation, and care.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Spiritual Formation: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure Richwoods philosophy of spiritual formation runs through all of our ministries focused on spiritual development and formation.  Responsible to work with staff in the development and execution of a Spiritual Direction Team.

Children: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure the development and execution of balanced programs providing engaging experiences and life-changing environments for children infant through fifth grade.

Youth: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure the development and execution of balanced programs providing engaging experiences and life-changing environments for students sixth through college age.

Small Groups: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure the development and execution of an effective and relevant small group ministry.

Adult Ministries: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure the development and execution of balanced programs providing engaging experiences and life-changing environments for adults not yet ready for small groups.

Care: Work with and give oversight to the staff to ensure the development and execution of care giving to the attenders of Richwoods. 

Budgets:  Developing, submitting and managing of budget, forecasting and expenses for each ministry under the scope of FamilyLife.

Staff and Volunteer Management: Success in this role will be best accomplished by prioritizing an investment in ministry leaders, the Director of FamilyLife is responsible for creating an environment that attracts, develops, and empowers the staff and volunteer leaders through clear communication of vision and goals with regular and consistent evaluation; providing conduits for feedback and systems for improvement and growth. 

Evaluation and performance of this role will be based on the metrics set for both the Belong and Become elements of Richwoods’ Discipleship Path.
