Job Description:

Title:                        Worship Director

Type:                       Full Time Salaried

Salary:                    Negotiable based on experience

Additional:           Additional monthly compensation benefit ($700)

Pension:                 1% after first year, 3% on year three, 5% on year five

Vacation:              2 weeks paid time off annually

Relocation:           Compensation supplied based on need

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing Community of Hope’s Worship Ministry as director and worship leader.

 

Supervisor:

Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor

 

Position Expectations:

?Oversee development of Worship Services (Planning, organizing, and preparing for times of worship, communicating details, brainstorming, creativity)

?Lead weekly Worship Meetings

?Worship Leading – Preparation, rehearsals and services (Sunday morning and Wednesday nights)

?Lead worship at alternative settings as directed (Funerals, Women’s Ministry, Kids/Youth Ministry)

?Oversee, develop and build teams alongside Technical Director

?Actively participate in worship/tech team recruitment, auditioning, and training

?Kids/Youth Worship Team – Assist with development, preparation, rehearsal and services

?Participate on “All Hands On Deck” Staff days (Block Party, Fall Kickoff, Trunk or Treat, Christmas, Winter Carnival, Easter, All Church Celebration, etc.)

?Attend weekly worship team meetings, sermon review meetings and bi-weekly staff meetings, sermon series planning meeting and other staff functions

?Desiring a 5 year commitment to this ministry position

?Willingness to grow in leadership through discipleship development and personal devotion

?Willingness to take direction and be a team player

?Willingness to live out Community of Hope’s Mission, Vision and Values as found at cohlc.org/what-we-believe

?Other ministry focuses as time allow

?Visionary planning for worship experiences

?Increased worship attendance by 10% in coming year

 

All staff have the expectation of claiming the Vision and Mission of Community of Hope, abiding by the Community of Hope Employee Handbook & Personnel Policies, participating in various “All Hands On Deck” events, tithing 10% in support of Community of Hope’s ministry, teaching the Biblical, Salvation and Social perspectives of Community of Hope, and working at constructive staff relationships, including conflict resolution based on Matthew 18.
