Central question of the position to be continually thought of, dreamt of, and answered:

How do we as a campus “go to grow,” having significant kingdom impact locally, nationally and internationally by helping others become more like Jesus in as short a time as possible (our mission) and fill the world with healthy local churches (our vision)?

Secondary question: How do we identify, develop and train others to lead out in answering the central question?

Areas of responsibility:

  • Communicate with the church regularly and often for the purpose of mobilizing our people to be on mission locally, nationally, and internationally

  • Be an integral part of local campus planting by providing missions focus, strategy and advice - particularly during the first two years
  • Train and teach missions and missional theology (practical, relational, and in understanding) - the Word is the filter.
  • Lead any missions prayer emphases throughout the year (Pray at all Times), and teach Grace Pointe members how prayer and the Word are integral to mission
  • Lead all volunteers to identify character transformation (Love shapes Character), and celebrate those stories with Grace Pointe as a church
  • Coordinate with other departments to determine age-appropriate missions opportunities
  • Communicate regularly with GP missionaries
