ChristLife Community Church (CLCC) is seeking a Pastor (Elder) to lead an established, community-based body of believers in Franktown, CO. The Pastor's primary commitment is to glorify God as evidenced by a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for and faithfulness to God, His Word, and His people. The Pastor should exhibit the servant leader characteristics of our Lord Jesus Christ, while supporting the statement of faith and vision of CLCC.
• Must demonstrate by life and ministry the qualifications for an elder set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
• BA required; Master's Degree from an accredited seminary is strongly encouraged. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Be a baptized believer, agreeing with CLCC’s statement of faith and vision.
• Must possess the spiritual gifts and maturity appropriate for this position, including teaching and shepherding (Ephesians 4:11), exhortation & leadership (Romans 12:8), faith (1 Corinthians 12:9), administration (1 Corinthians 12:28) and discernment (1 Corinthians 12:10)
• Ability to preach, teach and communicate effectively across generations.
• Evidence of effective pastoral leadership – Overseer Role
• Proven character and integrity appropriate for church leadership
• Effective team leader with the ability to inspire
• Passion to interact with the local, suburban/rural community
• Effective problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; ability to foster teamwork and resolve conflict

• Lead people in ministry role, including teaching, preaching and discipleship

Job Responsibilities:
1. Prayer
The lead pastor must have a personal reliance upon prayer and encourage the church body to do the same.
2. Teaching
The lead pastor will be the primary teacher for the church and will preach God's Word faithfully, according to sound doctrine, consistently expressing the central message of the Gospel in the Sunday morning message. The lead pastor should be committed to the historical-grammatical exposition of Scripture and seek to present the teaching in a way that is relevant, authentic and personally applicable.
3. Leadership
The lead pastor should meet the qualifications for an elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 5-9. Additionally, the lead pastor is expected to be gospel-driven, mission-minded, and an effective trainer and delegator. The lead pastor will:
• Conduct regular and frequent meetings with the deacons and ministry staff, both individually and jointly. Work to assist and equip the deacon and ministry staff in achieving and exceeding ministry objectives as defined by the elder team.
• The lead pastor will qualify, lead and hold accountable all ministry staff and conduct regular meetings with ministry leaders (non-paid leadership).
• Work with the church administrator to provide optimal functioning of administrative duties.
• As Leader of the Council of Elders:
o Work with the council to establish measurable objectives for all ministry staff in keeping with the mission of the church.
o Work with the council to coordinate and execute an annual church strategy, annual goals, and review of ministry objectives.
• Serve as the President of ChristLife’s Board of Administration and oversee duties as outlined in the by-laws.
4. Evangelism & Discipleship
The lead pastor will demonstrate a lifestyle of personal evangelism and discipleship and oversee its application in congregational life. The lead pastor will:
• Support and evaluate existing outreach ministries and encourage creativity in the development of new outreach ministries.
• Encourage and motivate the church body in evangelism & discipleship.
• Collaborate with ministry staff and Life Group Leaders by coordinating involvement in ministry and ongoing personal discipleship.
5. Shepherding
The lead pastor will lead the elders in the overall nurturing and shepherding ministry of the church. The lead pastor will:
• Equip and train the body for the work of the ministry.
• Develop and cultivate spiritual gifts within the body.
• Engage in personal and professional growth by being mentored and coached on a consistent basis.
6. Pastoral Care and Counseling
The lead pastor will be involved in pastoral care of individuals, couples, families, and groups as opportunities arise. The lead pastor must also recognize the importance of and have experience with Biblical Counseling.
