Ministry Description:                           

The campus pastor will provide strong leadership that ensures a healthy growing campus that loves Jesus and people far from God.  He will develop a ministry strategy that serves families and by God’s grace will transform our city with the hope of Christ.


Primary Responsibilities:

Campus Launch

  • Assemble a healthy core of Christ-followers who will help launch the campus
  • Develop a ministry plan that addresses the needs (Spiritual, physical etc) of the Northside
  • Enlist members of DCC and other churches to connect their resources to the work

Campus Strategist/Visionary

  • Shares and excites the church to embrace DCC’s mission, vision and values ensuring alignment
  • Provide strong leadership to the staff and congregation
  • Assist Lead Pastor with strategic planning and execution at the campus level
  • Hire and train all ministry staff in partnership with the Strategic Leadership Team.

Campus Pastor/Equipper

  • Build a team of equippers who multiply ministry
  • Grow the campus through assimilating new attenders
  • Grow groups and volunteer teams

  • Gifts of leadership, shepherding, teaching and mercy
  • Experienced serving an under-resourced community

  • Strong commitment to team and partnerships
  • Pastoral Training preferred but not required

Education and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience: Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Years of experience: 2+ years working with at least one of the following: non-profits, community development, missions ministries, related fields preferred
