About the Position:

The Pastor of Student Ministries leads out of the vision for the Student Ministry to help the church accomplish its mission of “ordinary people making an extraordinary impact for Jesus.” The Pastor of Student Ministries will serve as the chief leader and communicator of student ministries at Northshore. While all ministries at Northshore function within the framework of the larger church vision, the successful candidate will seek to creatively implement that vision in a relevant and effective manner within the Student Ministry.

What We Are Searching For:

  • A strong biblical teaching/preaching background or training with proven Student teaching experience.
  • Experienced in recruitment and training of leaders in Student Ministries.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with ability to write and engage people.
  • Excellent skills/experience in organization and strategic processes for Student Ministries.
  • Proficient at computer/software for office usage.
  • Adequate skills and/or abilities to utilize audio, video, computer and internet resources for ministry.
  • Proven team building and problem solving skills.


A bachelor’s degree or a seminary degree is preferred.

The successful candidate will have at least three to five years of Student Ministry experience. They will have experience managing teams and building leaders with a proven track record of creative thinking and problem solving. This individual will be a committed team player and proven collaborator. The ideal prospect for this role will be able to execute all tangible tasks involving systems and processes, while focusing on relational investments simultaneously.
