Position:  Director of Technology

Department:  Communications

Reports to:  Director of Communications

 

Essential Responsibilities of the Director of Technology:

  • Provide technical support for worship services and events (conferences, weddings, funerals, etc.)
  • Recruit, train, equip, and schedule volunteers for technical support in worship services and other events   (conferences,weddings, funerals, etc.)
  • Initiate successful communication with pastors, ministry leaders, and event coordinators in order to help facilitate technical needs
  • Oversee and maintain a/v technologies
  • Maintain a budget for maintenance and future technology upgrades
  • Cast vision for the use of technology in worship at GSFBC
  • Provide a/v support for Wednesday evening activities
  • Assist Director of Communications with projects/weekly tasks as schedule allows
  • Perform basic IT work on equipment that supports the church 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • A growing and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Commitment to serve Jesus Christ and the mission of GSFBC
  • Ability to embrace and pursue artistic and spiritual excellence in services
  • Proficient in technical elements of worship services (including but not limited to):
  1. House audio/monitor mixing
  2. ProPresenter
  3. House and environmental lighting systems (specifically ETC/Jands Vista)
  4. Live video (IMAG, live streaming, video recording)
  • Able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Initiative, perseverance, and a “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere
  • Reliable, flexible, and team oriented; able to work with a wide variety of people and groups
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
