The worship pastor/director will lead music in each worship service and special programs. Although the senior pastor is the overseer in terms of setting the theme and overall direction, the worship pastor/director will oversee and coordinate all the details
that a service encompasses. The worship pastor/director must be a visionary who is creative in leading people to God through the arts in creative structures. The worship pastor/director is a leader who can communicate a direction in a way that inspires those
around him/her to join in the pursuit of that vision. This is a position that requires the individual to serve not solely as a worship leader but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry.
The worship pastor/director must be proficient on the keys and understand and utilize the workstation components of various keyboards and be able to lead the band. They must be able to teach vocal parts for SAT voices in addition to arranging music as necessary
for a praise team setting. The style and flavor of our worship is contemporary ie. (Israel & New Breed, Freddy Rodriguez, BJ Putnam, Young & Free, Planetshakers, etc.) We believe in creating an exciting, lively and powerful weekly worship experience and
believe it creates an atmosphere for the spirit of God to move. The worship pastor/director must be wiling to be flexible as the Holy Spirit leads the service and play behind the pastor as he preaches.
This position also offers the opportunity for the worship pastor to work with the youth ministry if they feel called to facilitate both positions. As we grow and move forward blending generations these positions would become two seperate positions, but
can currently be offered as one.
