Student Ministry Objective:
*Create, develop, and grow a student ministry at Bainbridge Church of God that reflects the overall vision of the Pastor which naturally builds a balance between Spiritual, Social, and Service activities. (Listed in order of priority.)
*The vision of Eurocloydon Student Ministries is the same as the church,
“To Believe, Become, and Belong in Christ”
*Bring skills and experiences to provide quality leadership to existing programs, people, and students.
*Build and maintain a leadership team that you mentor, train and disciple in student ministry. Meet with them regularly (at least bi-monthly) to constantly improve the ministry, train them and to create “buy-in” and ownership.
*Cast and maintain the same vision for student ministry as the overall church.
*Understand your primary role as a pastor is to “equip the saints for ministry.” See yourself as an equipper not just a worker. Recruit people, train them, and release them into ministry.
*Create a culture of inviting so students bring their friends to church.
*Build an ongoing relationship with the local high/middle school through FCA, Youth Leaders Association, other means, and be visible by visiting the schools regularly during the lunch hours as well as being involved in other school activities with the goal
of reaching students for Christ and to our church family.
*Maintain/Create an active presence on social media.
*Plan at least one social event a bi-monthly other than Wednesday & Sunday for relationship building and to draw youth to our ministry
*Coordinate/Teach Youth Discipleship Classes
Annual projects to be aggressively pursued
*Plan 3-5 “Big days” that are focused on reaching new students.
*Teen Talent (Bi-annual) - maximize the amount of participation from our youth. Remember the goal is to Discover, Develop, and Dedicate our teen’s talent for God’s glory.
*Y.W.E.A.—raise money annually for the Church of God’s project (this develops a passion and concern for Missions, which helps to accomplish our balance for service.)
*Youth Camp and “Ramp”/“Forward.”
*Winterfest or alternative winter trip
*Any Denominational District Student Functions
*Community Youth Events – “DNow”, “Fields of Faith”, and “SYATP”
*Summer events with the Students. Plan and execute a fun and connecting event every week during the summer to connect with students, get them connected, and keep students busy.
*Provide pastoral care for the teens and their families. Example: Hospital stays, death, counseling.
*Do Sunday and Wednesday night lock up of Alvarado Building (Gym).
*Have a servant’s heart to whatever the Lead Pastor needs or asks for to help carry
the load/burden of the ministry
*Children’s Ministry – serve where needed on Sunday’s; partner by personally helping and staffing large church-wide children’s ministry events. Harvest Blast (last Sunday in October), VBS (Sunday PM – Wednesday evenings one week in July), and
Easter Church Functions.
*Serve where needed on Sunday Services.
*Participate in Various church functions such as the Soup Kitchen, and Membership Classes
Little Blessings Day Care
*Daycare chapel service once a week.
*Picks up the Daycare milk.
*Minor maintenance at Daycare.
*In the case of an emergency, help out at the Daycare.
Your success is evaluated in:
*How many people that you train and develop to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ
*Attendance to weekly youth services and activities
*How many families are connected to the church and to Jesus because of your ministry (especially those whose youth attend but they don’t)
*Pay increases and tenure are directly linked to success in performing the above mentioned tasks.
*You love Jesus.
*You are a person “full of wisdom and of the Holy Spirit”
*You love the local church.
*You love teenagers & their families.
*You embody the vision of Bainbridge Church of God.
* A person of unquestionable integrity
*You have a strong work ethic & a “get it done” mentality.

*You love working with people & you’re not a lone ranger.
*You can manage projects.

*You have great references.
*You’ve been working with students in a local church setting for at least 2 years.
*If you are married, you are a good spouse. If you have kids, you are a good parent.
Formal education is not required. However, it is likely that they will hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Holds Ministerial Credentials in the Church of God or any other denomination in PFNA, in the process of receiving them, or willing to seek credentials.
Three specific skills stand out:
*You must be willing to work with and build a team.
*Communication. You need to be strong in written and verbal communication.
*You must be able to lead people. Your love for people must trump your love for teaching.
Office hours/Time off/Salary
*Monday-Friday (One day off within the work week determined by Pastor Ryan Carnes)
*Time off requests are to be submitted to the Lead Pastor in advance
*Attend a weekly staff meeting
*Stay in touch with the Lead Pastor on a daily basis
*1 week off between Christmas and New Year’s
*1 week off during the year (Pending preapproval of the dates)
*The salary is competitive and this position is full time. The salary will be discussed in the interview.
*We will provide you with a W-2 tax form.
*We operate under the team concept where each member helps the other for church wide functions. Your primary areas are mentioned above, but we need your support and heart behind the entire ministry. Communication is critical to working through any gray
areas that will come up. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or volunteer ideas that will make things run smoother.
*Expectations for wives of Pastoral staff: Take ownership for the success of Student Ministry, attend church faithfully, and support church events with attendance and any help needed. Be a part of the team. A detached and uninvolved wife will be a major
distraction to your ministry and will ultimately undermine your success in leading adults and teenagers.
*Pray and work to make our Student Ministry a ministry of excellence where Students become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
*Be a loyal supporter of the Pastor and vision, and lead the congregation by example in attendance, giving and support to the vision of the house.
*Student Pastor and wife should make an intentional effort to mingle with the adult congregation and students in the foyer/sanctuary before/after each service.
*Attend some team building interaction regularly which includes all staff in order to keep communication open and to reassure each other of our love and commitment.
