The lead pastor at Journey Ministries will be a devout follower of Christ, well-grounded and experienced in Biblical teaching and preaching, and a loving, relational shepherd for our flock - living out 1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Peter 5. The lead pastor
must have deep and clear knowledge and understanding of Biblical gospel truth, and recognize false teaching. An overview of who Journey is and our core beliefs can be found in the accompanying church profile and at our website: www.journeymin.org.
The candidate called will likely minimally hold a bachelor’s degree in Bible education or related field, at least 4 to 5 years’ ministry leadership experience, and a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships. It is essential to have demonstrated
being able to make the Gospel relevant to believers and non-believers, including the unchurched and the de-churched. In addition, proven staff leadership, management and administrative skills are critical to this position. We are seeking a lead pastor with
intentions of making a long-term commitment, and substantially integrated to the Davison community.
Journey is led by a leadership board, the Journey Ministries Leadership Team (JMLT), with the lead pastor included as a member. The lead pastor will be expected to bring Spirit-led visionary ministry direction, and work effectively as part of the JMLT and
with ministry staff.
