Community Christian Reformed Church Mission Statement is to equip the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment one disciple at a time.
Basic Function: The primary role of the Worship Leader will be to the lead congregation in worship during the Sunday Morning Worship Service.
1. Stated Assumptions, Motivations and Philosophy
a. Has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and is growing in their love for Jesus Christ and His Church.
b. Has been involved in serving as part of a worship team in a local church.
c. Has a desire to see a congregation edified and encouraged through worship ministry. Is prayerfully sensitive to God’s leading in the area of worship ministry.
d. Is gifted musically (plays an instrument and can vocally lead worship service) and is able to glorify Christ by leading a worship team.
e. Able to learn new songs, hymns and has an openness to input, new ideas and direction from the congregation and church leadership.
a. Develop and lead the musical aspects of our worship service.
i. Determine the musical selections and coordinate with the Senior Pastor about the theme and message for the Sunday morning worship service.
ii. Coordinate and lead worship team rehearsals every week on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:15a.m. (TBD)
iii. Participate in the worship team and delegate leadership for those times when not leading.
iv. Plan, coordinate and lead the worship team meetings.
b. Participate in other services as requested by the Senior Pastor or as skills and interests indicate.
c. Develop Worship Team personnel schedule at least one month in advance.
d. Meet with the Pastor regularly for personal accountability and planning.
a. Salary: $100/week= 5 hours@$20/hour
b. Review at 90 days and semi-annually following.
c. Flexible hours and work outside office as needed.
