Village Church is a conservative and missional church in the PCUSA; we are located on the North Shore of Chicago, in the village of Northbrook.

The Youth and Family Minister is a full-time position responsible for envisioning and implementing a comprehensive and dynamic spiritual growth ministry for sixth through twelfth grade students within a broader ministry to the families of The Village Presbyterian Church.

The Youth Minister is responsible for the overall development and direct supervision of a youth ministry for sixth through twelfth grade students.  The Youth Minister should be actively involved in the lives of young people and able to model and relate Jesus Christ and the Christian life to students in a relevant, relational, and meaningful way.  Although the majority of attention is to be given to the students (and supporting their parents) another component of the job is to work with the Minister of Spiritual Growth and the Children and Family Minister to create a welcoming and holistic family ministry for the church.

Candidates for this position should have an active, growing faith in Jesus Christ; calling and giftedness for youth ministry in a church setting; a minimum of two years of full-time youth ministry experience; a record of youth ministry growth (completed seminary/graduate degree is a major plus).  Candidates should self-identify as evangelical (or conservative mainline), but have the ability to appreciate the unique opportunities and challenges of working in a mainline denomination.

We provide an outstanding compensation package (salary, insurance, and pension).
