Pickens County is in the northwest area of Georgia, within a 45-minute drive of Tennessee, North Carolina, and the northern part of Metro Atlanta. The local wilderness areas make it perfect for an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, tubing, stream fishing, and mountain scenery.

Over the last decade, Pickens County has been transitioning to becoming a work-from-home and bedroom community for those working in northern Metro Atlanta. A large part of its population growth is also a result of a migration of families from the northeastern U.S. to a warmer climate with scenic views and small-town charm.

Living Word Church is located just north of downtown Jasper but serves all of Pickens County and draws people from neighboring counties as well. Its vision for the future includes launching satellite campuses in neighboring counties.

This is a well paid, part-time position to start but is expected to transition to full-time quickly. The position will start with an average requirement of 8-12 hours per week. Housing opportunities will also be available.

The Position is responsible to the Lead Pastor and Board of Elders.
