POSITION TITLE: Campus Pastor**

LOCATION: Rockford Area, IL

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Experience

DENOMINATION: Non-Denominational, Spirit-Filled    

WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 2,200 multi-campus 


MinisterSearch ( is delighted to present the position of Campus Pastor at this Spirit-filled, multi-site church of 2000+. With several campuses already, this church has the Kingdom vision to transform rural communities for the cause of Christ. 

Working under the leadership of the Lead Pastor, the Campus Pastor provides overall leadership for a specific campus of Crossroads Community Church.  He functions as the embodiment and primary communicator of the Lead Pastor’s vision at the local level.  The Campus Pastor is responsible for leading other leaders on the campus, whether they are paid or volunteer. 


The Campus Pastor’s job description is most easily summarized as leadership and applied in four areas: 

  1. Leading themselves and their family
  2. Leading their leadership team
  3. Leading their campus
  4. Leading their weekend experience 

The church is in the Rockford area of Illinois and boasts quiet living among friendly, caring, good people! This region offers the best of both worlds: the feel of small-town rural but close to several of the Midwest’s largest cities--providing people with a myriad of options for culture and leisure activities. This is one of those places in America where people know and care about their neighbors, there is affordable housing, and below-the-national-average cost of living. 


This Campus is just a short drive from Rockford, Illinois, and less than 2 hours from Chicago or Madison, Wisconsin. The community has close access to shopping, museums, theaters and concert venues, professional sporting events, as well as a wide variety of restaurant options. 


The area boasts beautiful parks, golf courses, and extensive bike, ATV and snowmobile trails. Lakes and rivers provide opportunities for fishing and water sports. Local festivals and school sporting events play an important part of the culture and provide another great opportunity for fellowship and outreach. 



  • Weekend Experience
    • General leadership of weekend service including oversight of the worship experience, children's ministry, first impression activities and everything that happens on the campus during the weekend service.
    • Maintain a level of quality in everything done on the weekends consistent with the culture of the church, including the initial impression, worship experience, children's ministry and facility/technology areas, etc.
  • Leadership Development
    • Recruit & train leaders (champions) for each ministry area.
    • Leadership & development of all volunteer & paid staff.
    • Building of all ministry teams necessary for quality ministry. Teams including Hospitality, Technical, Children's Ministry, Student Ministry, Outreach, Life Groups & Community Care, Worship, Facilities (set up and tear down) and others as campus needs dictate.
  • Spiritual Growth
    • Ensure that spiritual growth occurs among campus attenders - through regular attendance at weekend services and participation in a growing, dynamic small group ministry.
  • Outreach
    • Develop and implement a variety of outreach strategies that serve the community and result in a regular stream of first time guests to the campus.
    • Encourage campus participation in the church’s mission through prayer, giving, and participation in prayer walks, local outreach efforts and short term mission outreach events.
  • Pastoral Care
    • Pastoral care of local campus. Pastoral care includes counseling, prayer, hospital visitation when needed, weddings, funerals, baby dedications, and any other opportunities to care for the needs of the people. 


  • Proven leadership ability
  • Successful experience in leading people, preferably in a ministry setting
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and people skills
  • Spirit Filled - a mature believer
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
