JOB TITLE: Technical Director, City First Church

REPORTS TO: Creative Pastor



Work alongside Creative Pastor to carry out the vision for City First Church through providing leadership and direct oversight of the technical execution for City First Church and it’s affiliated ministries.



  • Execute the vision of the Creative Pastor in regards to productions.

  • The technical director recruits, trains, and maintains a volunteer team for City First productions.

  • The volunteer team provides operating support in FOH, monitors, lighting, stage, and IMAG video.

  • Provide leadership to the Productions Team.

  • Ability to mix audio, and train others up to do the same.

  • Execute set-up, rehearsals, services and tear downs.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.

  • Proactively recruit, train, and maintain ongoing Ministry Partners.

  • Oversee all tech, campus wide.

  • Oversee all tech for all City First locations.

  • Weekly focus on Weekends: planning & review meetings, relational development, attend rehearsals, set up & operate rehearsals & services, lead volunteers.

  • Responsible for audio, video, and lighting installations.

  • Responsible for stage set installations that involve tech/lighting.

  • Working knowledge of latest technological advances.

  • Ordering Equipment (both sale and rentals)

  • Recruit, train, equip, and organize volunteers for weekly services.

  • Manage AVL inventory equipment across all campuses.

  • Responsible for overseeing broadcasting of weekend services.

  • Responsible for AVL for all City First Conferences (Original, Men’s, Thrive).

  • Provide organization for run throughs and rehearsal schedules.

  • Set up and running of AVL for weddings, funerals, and other events as needed.

  • A committed disciple of Christ who demonstrates spiritual maturity and leadership skills; embraces the values, vision, and goals of City First.
  • Ability to represent the Directional Team correctly and appropriately in various environments.
  • Ability to support the direction and vision of the Lead Pastor and Executive Team of City First.

    written specifications and/or oral instructions.

  • Positive attitude toward work requirements, supervisor, co-workers, church members, children, parents and general public.

  • A teachable, supportive attitude towards City First Ministries and programs.




Education and/or Equivalent Experience:

- Technical arts experience in either audio, lighting or IMAG video.

- Skilled in leading and developing volunteers
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Composure

- Higher education or advanced training preferred
