Student Ministry Director
Classification: Part-Time - 25 hrs/wk
Ministry Area: Student

By receiving all that God wants to give us and giving his blessings away we will create a caring community where all can belong, become like Christ and be a blessing to the world.


The Student Ministries exist to communicate the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to students and assist our Christian families in laying a strong foundation for students to follow Christ for a lifetime.


To direct the student ministry program including middle school (6-8 grades) and high school (9-12 grades) working through students, parents and volunteers.


1. Develop the Student Ministries Program, planning year-round activities including:
    a. Sunday morning programming
    b. Wednesday evening programing
    c. Service opportunities
    d. Fellowship activities
    e. Weekend retreats
    f. Summer camping opportunities

2. Execute the Student Ministries program by:
    a. Overseeing all programming
    b. Teaching biblical lessons that connect to daily issues
    c. Communicating the vision and direction for the ministry
    d. Recruiting and training volunteers
    e. Communicating well and regularly with the parents
    f. Ensuring relationships are developed between students and volunteers
    g. Attending student events outside of WB programs
    h. Creating a culture of respect among leaders and students

3. Advance the vision of Westbrook Community Church
    a. Attend weekly, quarterly & annual Leadership Staff Meetings
    b. Attend Quarterly Ministry Area Leaders Meeting
    c. Complete other duties as assigned


1. Report to Integrator (Administrator)
2. Work with Westbrook Volunteers and Staff


1. Bachelor’s degree or in the final stages of completion
2. Previous work with middle school and/or high school youth
3. Considering vocational ministry as a career
4. Endorse the Statement of Faith and the traditional, evangelical theology of Westbrook CC
5. Demonstrates leadership and organization skills
6. Standard computer skills with the ability to adapt to various software and database systems (with training)
7. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
8. Able to shift gears quickly and comfortably
9. Able to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
10. Desire and ability to actively build relationships with youth
11. Ability to develop and implement program design and implementation
12. Deliver a lesson that connects biblical lessons to daily life
13. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
14. Possess spiritual gifts including leadership, administration, shepherding and teaching
15. Team player with Westbrook staff and members
