Job Description:

                                          EXECUTIVE PASTOR (FULL TIME, ONE OPENING)

Title:  

Executive Pastor

 

Function:  

The Executive Pastor (EP) will serve as an associate pastor under the Senior Pastor.  He will be tasked with carrying out the vision of the Senior Pastor through assigned duties.

 

Status:  

Full time / Salaried / Exempt

 

Reports To:

Senior Pastor; Elders

 

Supervises:

Volunteer and paid staff as may be assigned 

 

Summary:

The EP will serve in both an administrative and ministerial capacity.  He will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to various church ministries.  He will be responsible for coordinating church leaders and carrying out the vision of the Senior Pastor.

 

Responsibility:

  • Carry out the vision of the Senior Pastor
  • Coordinate leadership within the church
  • Attend ministry meetings as needed
  • Be involved with special events, coordinating as needed
  • Ensure a smooth operation during Sunday worship services
  • Be able to fill the pulpit as needed by the Senior Pastor
  • Provide leadership for our up-and-coming home group ministry
  • Conduct funeral and wedding services as needed
  • Visit church members in homes, hospital, etc.
  • Other duties as may be assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Evangelical Christian growing in his faith
  • Bachelors degree in a ministry/ministry-related or business discipline
  • Between 1 and 5 years previous administrative / management and/or church leadership experience
  • Able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to work with and without supervision
  • Able to be a visionary and strategic thinker

                                    YOUTH PASTOR (FULL TIME, ONE OPENING)

Title:  

Youth Pastor

 

Function:  

The Youth Pastor (YP) will serve as an associate pastor under the Senior Pastor.  He will be tasked with carrying out the vision of the Senior Pastor through assigned duties.

 

Status:  

Full time / Salaried / Exempt

 

Reports To:

Senior Pastor; Elders

 

Supervises:

Volunteer and paid staff as may be assigned 

 

Summary:

The YP will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to various church ministries, as assigned.  He will be responsible for coordinating various church leaders and carrying out the vision of the Senior Pastor.

 

Responsibility:

  • Carry out the vision of the Senior Pastor
  • Coordinate youth leadership
  • Attend ministry meetings as needed
  • Holds youth staff meetings as needed
  • Be involved with special events, coordinating as needed
  • Provide leadership to our youth group
  • Works closely with our worship ministry
  • Attends youth functions (school events, games, etc.)
  • Conduct funeral and wedding services as needed
  • Visit church members in homes, hospital, etc.
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Evangelical Christian growing in his faith
  • Bachelor degree or Certificate in a ministry/ministry-related discipline.  An emphasis in youth ministry will be preferred.
  • Between 1 and 3 years previous youth leadership.  The ideal candidate will also have been a part of a youth group as a teen.  A recent college graduate with a degree but without experience will be considered.
  • Able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to work with and without supervision
  • Able to be a visionary and strategic thinker
