About the Organization:

Element Church exists to reach people with the good news of the Gospel and to build lives in God’s kingdom. The church launched in 2006 with a core group of 35 people, and currently averages 3,600 people in attendance each weekend in seven services at two on-campus venues. For four of the last six years, Element Church was ranked by Outreach Magazine as one of “America’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Churches,” with an annual growth rate between 15% and 22% year over year.

Element church is an inter-denominational church that is closely tied to Church of the King and Our Savior's Church in Louisiana. They have a huge vision for the future, desiring an Element Church campus within 20-25 minutes of anyone who lives in the greater St. Louis area. The strategic implications of this position for Element Church cannot be overstated. This leader will become a key player on the lead team and in building the foundation for the future of Element Church.

About the Position:

Element Church is seeking a highly skilled Executive Pastor of Campus Development with a passion for leading and developing individuals to serve ministry needs of the church. They must possess the ability to recruit, develop, equip, empower and coach all leaders at Element to lead successful teams. This position will directly lead campus development and develop church’s overall leadership development process, and serve on the Lead Team for Element Church while reporting directly to the Senior Pastor.

What We Are Searching For/Qualifications:

Formal education is not a predetermining factor for the selection of the new Executive Pastor of Campus Development. Strong emphasis will be placed on practical ministry experience and success.

Prior staff leadership experience in a church with an average weekly attendance of 2,000+ people (preferred).

  • Competent in interpersonal relationships, trust building and leadership development.
  • Able to develop team leadership, supervising effectively in a multi-staff/volunteer setting with specifically assigned roles.
  • Able to work without direct supervision and highly motivated.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading in large ministry settings that are committed to excellence.
  • Dynamic written and verbal communication skills (public speaking abilities a plus).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • A passion for team, staff culture, excellence, and loyalty.
  • Ability to manage individual project and departmental budgets and financial responsibilities with a high level of detail and accountability.
  • Self-motivation, a professional demeanor, adaptability to change, and a “whatever-it-takes” attitude.
  • Excellent people skills to build positive and effective relationships (high “E.Q.”).
  • A strong communicator who listens well and is comfortable and effective at all levels of the organization; one who thrives on providing the necessary support for others to succeed.
