The Bridge Church is a trend-setting church located in a small town and blessed with a big vision. This community of faith began as
Cleveland Church of God in 1977 with only 12 people meeting in a living room. Today, The Bridge has 350-400 people attending its Sunday service, another 350-400 who watch live online, and nearly 700 people who call The Bridge their church home. In
2016, The Bridge purchased a 93,000-square-foot industrial building and currently occupies approximately 50,000 square feet of newly renovated space that includes a main auditorium capable of seating 700, large café, nursery and kids space (including auditorium),
youth space (and auditorium), offices, and media/production room.
The Bridge is passionate about reaching those who are unsaved, unchurched, or "done with church." Their clear vision and strong commitment to their core values, along with their devotion to continually improve ministry strategies, make the church effective
at connecting faith and life and helping people continually take one step closer to Christ and the will of God for their lives. While the church remains a part of the Church of God denomination headquartered in Cleveland, TN, The Bridge is also a member of
the Willow Creek Association, and is a North Point Partner Church that shares their vision of being a church that unchurched people love to attend. They are doctrinally accountable to The Church of God but philosophically aligned with North Point.
Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Ballington, The Bridge has become a major influence in White County and surrounding counties and has been recognized every year for 10 consecutive years as "The Most Involved Church In The Community"
by readers of the local newspaper. Average weekly attendance at The Bridge has grown 18% over the past 5 years, compared to county population growth of only 4% during that same period, and 57% over the past 10 years compared to county population growth of

White County is located in the northeast corner of Georgia, within a 30-minute drive of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the northernmost part of Metro Atlanta. Over half of the county is national forest, which makes it perfect for an outdoor
enthusiast who enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, tubing, stream fishing, and mountain scenery. The county population is approximately 30,000, with a little less than 10% living in Cleveland. White County is also home to the popular tourist town of Helen, which
is known for its quaint shops and Bavarian look; Babyland General, the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids; several camp and retreat centers; pottery and folk art; and numerous award-winning vineyards and wineries. Agritourism and destination weddings are
among the newest and fastest-growing industries in White County.
Over the last decade, White County has been transitioning from being a second-home and retirement community to being a work-from-home and bedroom community for those working in northern Metro Atlanta. A large part of its population growth is also a result
of a migration of families from the northeastern U.S. to a warmer climate with scenic views and small-town charm. White County also has an excellent public school system that is ranked among the best in Georgia.
The Bridge Church is located just outside of Cleveland but serves all of White County and draws people from neighboring counties as well. Its vision for the future includes launching satellite campuses in neighboring counties.
