Northlake Church is a dynamic, relevant, and growing congregation of 280+ in the beautiful hill country of Texas.  We are located in Lago Vista, which is close to Cedar Park and Austin nestled beautifully on the north shore of Lake Travis. We are a non-denominational, non-charismatic, evangelical church drawing people from all backgrounds. Our vision is to accomplish Jesus’ command to love him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves.  Our mission is to accomplish Jesus’ command to make disciples who make disciples filling the whole earth with His Glory!

In 2006, Northlake Church was planted by two churches in Cedar Park who had the vision to start a new local church with the 80+ people who were living on the north shore but attending church in Cedar Park. For the first 8 years we met in a school, loading in and loading out every week...but in 2015 we were able to purchase our first permanent home and are in the process of making it “work” for our ministry needs. We also are committed to growing disciples through Missional Communities (called GoGroups) and are really excited about the transformation we believe this is having in our church family.

We are looking for a full-time Student Ministries Pastor to join our growing church and staff.  Our current Student Pastor is leaving on great terms and is following the leadership of Jesus to move to another ministry opportunity, we love him and have been blessed by his ministry over the last 3 years.  The student ministry has a great foundation and we are excited about the next phase and who God will bring to serve along side of us to shepherd and minister to students and families!

Student Ministries is an incredibly valuable area at Northlake Church. We have a passion for reaching the next generation and know that reaching students gives us a unique opportunity to reach families with the Gospel and that is our desire as a church.  We are looking for a passionate worshipper of God, with a heart for students, to lead this vitally important ministry to students and their families. The Pastor of Student Ministries will possess: evident godly character, engaging teaching gifts, demonstrated servant leadership, exceptional relational ability, and proven team-building skills—all of these affirmed in the local church setting. The Pastor of Student Ministries will be responsible for all programming for students, 6th – 12th grade and will develop a ministry to college-aged students, the hidden demographic in our community!

Secondarily this person will also share in carrying out congregational pastoral responsibilities and will function as one of three Pastors on staff, ministering to the whole church with the gifts he has been given. A bachelor’s degree in Biblical/Theological studies is required with 5 years of leading a student ministry within a local church context of 250+ or an equivalent ministry leadership experience...passion for making disciples within this age group demographic is vitally important to the success of this ministry.

Potential candidates are asked to submit:

  1. Resumes with references (email)
  2. Video of current teaching/leading (links to online portfolio preferred)
