God is on the move in Washington, IA. Over the last two years, His presence has imparted restoration and renewal to His church. People from the community – young, old, and in-between – are coming to Christ and being baptized. His people are growing and stepping
forward as harvest laborers. We only lack a senior pastor who can coach our staff and lay shepherds to equip the flock for an even greater work of ministry. Are you that pastor?
A top candidate will have an M.Div. from a first or second tier evangelical seminary and will bring prior lead pastor experience to this assignment. A candidate with at least a BA in Bible from an evangelical Bible college and significant associate pastor experience
will be considered.
The next pastor of Faith Baptist Church will be an effective communicator of God’s Word, an inspiring ministry coach, and a man with a heart and a plan for effective community evangelism. He will be a man of character who embodies the qualities outlined in
Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7. In short, the next senior pastor will be a catalyst who takes this ministry and the people of Faith to the next level of impact for Christ.
To be considered, a candidate must be able to affirm the Converge statement of Faith:
https://converge.org/about/affirmation-faith. If you are interested in this position, please send a cover letter and resume to
email@example.com. You will then receive a brochure that gives you a complete overview of the church and position. After reading this brochure, if you want to actively pursue the position, send
a video link or video file of a recent sermon to complete your application. Candidates who do not supply a sermon video will not be considered further.
Faith Baptist is not looking for someone who wants to be “the next big thing.” We are looking for a man who embraces Jesus’ brand of greatness, a greatness that is captured in terms like “servant of all,” “least of all,” and “last of all.” Do these terms describe
you? Let’s talk!
