Job Description:

The Compass Church is a multi-site church in the western suburbs of Chicago.  Our aim and our passion is “To Love Him More, So More Love Him”.  We love our church and our purpose, and hope you will come to love it too!  We have a rich history over the past 60+ years.  In 2015 our church merged with our “mother” church, which resulted in our 3rd campus.  Then in 2016, in another surprise providential move, we merged with one of our “daughter” churches that was planted 25 years ago, which resulted in our 4th campus.  We continue to grow; these days we serve about 3,700 people per weekend across 4 locations.

We are seeking a Campus Pastor for our original and largest campus.  Currently, this campus serves about 2,500 people per weekend.  In July 2016, the Campus Pastor of this campus became our new Executive Pastor; we are now seeking to replace him in the Campus Pastor role.  This Campus Pastor position reports to our Executive Pastor and serves on our Senior Staff (currently 7 people) which includes our Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Executive Directors, and Campus Pastors.  Our desire is that this new Campus Pastor be a key influencer for us, shaping our church for years to come.

We are seeking a proven ministry expert who is familiar with discipleship efforts on a large scale.  We expect our original campus to grow to serve over 3,000 people per weekend, and are looking for a pastor leader who can take us there.  In our ministry model, each Campus Pastor oversees staff and direction for: Children’s Ministry, Student Ministries, Adult Ministries, Guest Services, Congregational Care, and Local Engagement.  Our Worship Arts, Global Ministries, Business Units, and Specialized Care are lead by central staff who work cross-campus.

We look forward to hearing from you!  We are looking for a pastor with leadership skill to make a lasting contribution to our entire church, and to guide the congregation of our largest campus to grow in faith and help others do the same.  We hope to have additional campuses and added impact.  We are working hard to be available to do whatever Jesus has in mind for our years ahead.  We are very excited about our focus “To Love Him More, So More Love Him” – we would love to share more with you about how we could do this together!
