About the Organization:
Harvest Church (Harvest) is a member of the Western Conference of the Evangelical Church with a strong vision and track record for reaching the unchurched. In its 17 history, Harvest has become renowned for impact within the community and is a church
known for living out its faith in tangible ways.
The average attendance across all campuses reaches just under 3,000, with the majority of the church having been previously unchurched.
Harvest Church staff is managed by a Directional Leadership Team who reports to the Executive Pastor then to the Lead Pastor, ultimately governed by an 8 person Church Council of which the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor are part of.
Harvest currently has five physical campuses plus an online campus. The main campus is housed in a unique and useful facility built on 29 acres in The Heights area of Billings, Montana. The current worship venue seats 640 in three weekend services (one on
Saturday and two on Sunday) for a maximum capacity of 2,500 adults at the Heights Campus. An additional 2,060 seats are available at Harvest Campuses (Lockwood, MT, Plentywood, MT, Butte, MT, and Cody, WY) totaling a maximum church wide attendance of 4,560
over 11 services at the five campuses. The entire campus venues carry a simple, inviting, and unique theme achieved through the clear vision casting of the staff.
The church is currently engaged with Plain Joe Studios in a Master Planning Process to begin construction of a new Worship Center in the fall of 2018.

About the Position:
The Student Ministries Pastor will develop and lead teams of adult volunteers who will lead and care for students and student leaders. Essentially Harvest Church is looking for a strong and dynamic leader who can minister to kids through adult student ministry
leaders and volunteers.
The Student Ministries Pastor is also the primary communicator for the weekly Student Ministry Program. Teaching/Communication, Leadership, Administration would be desired primary gifts.
Students attending Harvest Church are a unique mix of kids who have grown up in the church and a large majority of kids who are far from God. The Student Ministries Pastor must create environments where unchurched students can explore and check out faith
while also equipping core kids to be on mission while they continue to grow in faith and purpose.
While all ministries at Harvest will function within the framework of the larger church vision, the Student Ministries Pastor will seek to creatively implement that vision in a manner relevant to and effective with the Student population.
What We Are Searching For/Qualifications:
Formal education is not a predetermining factor for the selection of the new Student Ministries Pastor. However, it is likely that they will hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A degree in Christian Education is strongly preferred,
but not required.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new members. At least three years youth ministry experience in a growing
youth ministry of at least 200 students. Has experience managing others.
Additional characteristics will include:
- A strong walk with God through a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Teachable, with a desire to grow in their faith and abilities
- Team Player (no silos)
- Has a passion for reaching disenfranchised students.
- Understands youth culture today
- Connects with students and is a catalyst for their discipleship.
- A good role model (purity)
- Effective relational skills (works well with others)
This position requires Harvest Church Membership and best effort pursuits of membership requirements such as regular attendance, tithing and volunteer service at Harvest Church.

within 1-3 hours drive, options for eating out, and cultural opportunities abound for families wishing to live in the area. The major industries driving the economy of Billings are agriculture, energy, transportation, medical, and education. Shopping and cultural
activities draw visitors from a large area as well. Chamber of Commerce materials are available upon request.
The Heights Community draws from both ends of the socio-economic spectrum with lower income and affluent families within the ministry area. The campus is positioned in the northwest of the Heights area at the end of Wicks Lane. Phase I Construction was recently
completed for new road construction to begin connecting Wicks Lane to Zimmerman Trail, a key artery to the West End of Billings. The completion of this construction would significantly increase access between the Heights and West End of Billings, representing
an additional 70,000 people.
Ministry in the community of Billings is laden with opportunities for growth, life change, and expansion of the church. Harvest draws all sorts of people, but most families are professionals, in the middle to upper class income bracket. The successful candidate
will immerse themselves in the community and show a commitment to being an integral part of Billings.
