Position Summary: A full-time position to lead the development of an expanded youth program and assist the Senior Pastor with church administration and congregational ministry.
Position Requirements: A minimum of an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college/university; a record of involvement with church programming - either paid or as a volunteer; experience working
with youth; excellent skills in written and oral communication and in technology. Preference will be given to applicants with graduate study in a field related to the position (e.g., Christian education, pastoral counseling, professional education).
Specific Responsibilities: Direct the Youth Ministry for separate middle and high school youth groups to include (1) recruiting, training, supervising, and supporting a team of parents and other adult volunteers;
(2) leading youth group meetings, events, retreats, and mission projects; (3) establishing open communication with youth and their parents including the sharing of youth ministry goals, publicizing events, encouraging participation, and soliciting feedback;
and (4) developing a Youth Ministry budget. The successful applicant will also assist the Senior Pastor with other ministerial and administrative responsibilities.
