Job Description:

Christ Community Church is looking for an AVL Director with professional training and experience. This is a full-time position that will work directly with and under the leadership of the worship director and pastors to maintain all church facilities and technical needs. This entails, but is not limited to, overseeing the technical department of all weekend services, youth nights, and major events (as it pertains to audio, video, and lighting), maintaining campus equipment, and facilitating the church’s web and applications development.

 

Duties:

  • Train and build teams to facilitate audio, video, and lighting for services

  • Service and maintain the AVL equipment across all three campuses

  • Assist in wiring, installing, and repairing technical equipment

  • Update and maintain the church’s website and app development

  • Operate and oversee the technical aspects of all church services

  • Meet weekly with worship director and pastors to plan worship services

  • Work closely with the worship and technical teams to facilitate practice and weekend services

  • Organized with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work with a vast array of staff and volunteers

 

Education & Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of AVL background working in a large church setting

  • An associate’s degree (or higher) in AVL (preferred, but not mandatory dependent upon skills and experience)

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficiency with live audio operation and mixing

  • Proficiency with digital audio software (knowledge of Logic Pro X preferred)

  • Proficiency in video production and editing softwares (Final Cut Pro & Wirecast preferred)

  • Proficiency in theatrical and stage lighting and design; experience in DMX lighting with ability to learn and work with an array of software

  • In-depth computer skills with both Mac and PC

  • Graphic design experience (knowledge of Adobe Illustrator preferred)

  • Proficiency in working with visual media (Pro Presenter preferred)

 

Schedule and Hours (Projection):

  • 40 hours per week (salary & benefits)
