About the Position:

The prospective Family & Children’s Pastor will lead, and acquire oversight of the family, children’s, and the student ministries of Bear Valley Church. The position will oversee the leaders of each of these areas in administering, envisioning, and developing the comprehensive standards, curricula, and programming elements of each ministry. The role will also ensure successful implementation and alignment with the overall vision of the church in these ministries through their oversight.

In essence, the Family & Children’s Pastor will lead a partnership with parents to raise spiritual champions for the Kingdom. They will seek to create a healthy balance between achieving excellence, and industriousness in use of time and resources, for the purpose of ensuring long-term stability for the ministry areas of oversight. The ideal prospect for this position will be authentically relational, with a strong work ethic that speaks to collaboration and receptivity.


What We Are Searching For:

The successful candidate for this position will be highly relational, with complementary skills in strategic development and teaching. They will possess a pioneering spirit with a strong desire to nurture, expand, and maximize the potential of family ministries at Bear Valley Church. The successful candidate will possess a foundational understanding of children’s and family ministries, relational management, and ministry development so as to effectively meet, achieve, and exceed all position related responsibilities.


Qualifications:


  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Organized, efficient and committed to time maximization.
  • Effectively multi-task a list of responsibilities.
  • Evidence of aforementioned experience, skills, and giftedness, which can provide the basis for successfully achieving the purpose of the position.
  • Ability to initiate and implement plan of action.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
 
About the Location:

The fifth-largest city in the Denver metro area, Colorado city of Lakewood is nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains roughly 7-miles west of the state capital of Denver.
