About the Organization:
Snake River Community Church (SRCC) is a missional church, located in Baggs, WY that is impacting its local community in the Little Snake River Valley. In addition to reaching its local community, SRCC has significantly influenced the Kingdom in both local
and global capacities through missions endeavors in the states of Colorado, Montana, and West Virginia, extending to the nations of Mexico, Haiti, Ethiopia, Uganda, Brazil, Egypt, and Malawi.
SRCC provides monthly support to outreach ministries including Young Life-which has a thriving club in the valley as well as ‘Baptist Youth Mission’, an established ministry mentoring organization, ‘Campus Ventures’, known for offering outreach and discipleship
to the students of the University of Wyoming, and ‘Free City Church’, a church plant in Missouri. SRCC also provides monthly support to international ministries in both Thailand and Uganda.
In recent years, the church body has sensed that God is up to something much larger than they can imagine, and therefore have begun building up individuals, in alignment with the mission of Snake River Community Church. Its sole purpose is to rekindle believers’
passions to see the lost come to Christ. Led by a newfound vision, stable attendance, consistent giving, and deeper spiritual connections, the community of SRCC looks forward to the next season of their church. SRCC is earnestly praying for a new Senior Pastor
to come alongside them to continue to serve Christ in a greater capacity.

About the Position:
The next Senior Pastor of Snake River Community Church needs to have passion and an excitement for the Lord. This individual will be marked by prayer, with a dependence of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct the ministry of SRCC. They will also reflect the
joy of the Lord in their day-to-day life.
The Senior Pastor of SRCC must possess a love for people, and have a heart to disciple each member of the church. The ideal candidate for the position needs to have the ability to help the body of believers in the church grow both deep and wide, while shepherding
them to share Jesus and reach the many lost and unsaved in the community. They must be biblically literate, preach/teach strong messages that are anointed by God. In essence, SRCC’s next Senior Pastor will be authentically genuine in their walk with the Lord,
and lead by example. He must have a humble spirit and be willing to work together with other leaders in the local body.
What We Are Searching For:
The prospective candidate must be willing to serve in any capacity, from being a spiritual leader to the community, as well as visiting, mentoring, discipling, and ministering to many outside the walls of the church. Hewill also perform weddings, funerals,
counseling and prayers for those outside church and in the community. The pastor of SRCC will effectively become a pastor and counselor for the community.
This individual’s family will have a vested interest in the ministry of the church, and will be key players in effectively executing this role. They will be integral part of this ministry and be willing to complement and serve alongside the rest of the church
family. The successful candidate’s family will also be community-minded, humble, warm, inviting, possess servant hearts, and have a willingness to follow God’s calling in their lives, while openly sharing their lives with others.
A Bible degree or similar degree in a related field. A seminary background although preferred, is not required. The qualified candidate may have relevant hands-on/practical experience, which may substitute for some schooling.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of growing a ministry and of working in a ministry setting. The candidate will have had experience providing vision and mobilizing the congregation in a church of 100 attendees or greater. The Senior
Pastor must possess a passion for connecting with the adults, students, and children alike, both in and outside the walls of the church, while maintaining a respect for the history, heritage, and traditions of both the church and the community.
About the Location:
The Snake River Community Church is located in south central Wyoming, in the small town of Baggs. It is approximately 40 miles north of Craig, CO, 90 miles from Steamboat Springs, CO and 75 miles southwest of Rawlins, WY, situated in the beautiful Little
Snake River Valley. The valley’s population, including the towns of Dixon and Savery, Wyoming and Slater, Colorado, is approximately 700-800 people.
The culture of the vicinity is of western flair. Ranching, agriculture, outfitting businesses, along with natural gas exploration and production, dominate the economy. The local school tends to be the ‘hub’ of the community, and many events revolve around
the various activities at the school. Currently, there are 180 students that make up the student body of the K-12 school, with an average class size of 10-15 children. The community takes much pride in the school and supports it in every possible way. There
are four churches that serve the spiritual needs of the community, one of which is Snake River Community Church.
The community of Baggs is a very caring, tight knit community. Whenever a need arises, the community bands together to help one another and care for each one, regardless of church affiliation or background.
