This is a full-time support-based position with a significant contribution from the church; a minimum of 40 hours per week, successful candidates will be expected to raise the remainder of their salary within 6 months of their start date.



Lead and equip the church to more effectively share the Gospel with Muslims in Dearborn through the church’s existing ministries, reporting to the Dearborn Campus Pastor.


                Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Soccer Without Boundaries (Men’s Soccer League)

-        Disciple Captains to effectively share the Gospel in the communities of their teams

-        Recruit and advertise to help build teams

-        Book facilities and purchase necessary equipment to run the league (outdoor season & futsal)

-        Build and maintain existing volunteer base of referees

-        Build and maintain church partnerships to supply partial teams for the league

-        Maintain a financial record of income and expenses for the league


Meetings for Better Understanding

-          These are neither debates (where the goal is to put each other down), nor dialogues (where the goal is to focus only on agreement, and ignore key differences); these meetings are meant to build relationships between Christians and Muslims, and promote understanding of beliefs and practice between the two faith groups

-          Build and maintain relationships with mosques to create platform for meetings & relationships

-          Build and maintain a team of volunteers from Woodside committed to praying for meetings, growing in their understanding of evangelism and the Gospel, and building relationships with Muslims at the meetings

-          Work with mosque partners to plan Meetings for Better Understanding, and make sure necessary roles are filled at each meeting (teacher, moderator and host)


General Responsibilities

-        Lead and equip church members in initiative evangelism

-        Plan and coordinate short-term teams from other Woodside campuses to reach Muslims in the city

-        Develop a working knowledge of core Muslim Doctrines, Apologetics and Polemics as it relates to Christianity to equip the church in outreach

-      Be available to teach on ministry to Muslims

-      Develop new methods of outreach and discipleship in the community

                Education and Experience

-          Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred emphasis in Bible or Missions

-          Experience in Evangelism with a preference for at least 1 year of vocational ministry in a Muslim or cross-cultural context


                Skills and Knowledge

-          Recruit, build and develop teams

-          Explain clearly both Christian and Muslim doctrine and practices

-          Set clear goals, develop plans to achieve them, execute faithfully, and evaluate successes and failures

-          Represent Christianity with both grace and truth in word and deed


                Spiritual Requirements

-          In agreement with Woodside Bible Church’s Statement of Faith

-          Founded in God’s word, growing love of God and his church

-          Exhibits the Biblical characteristics of an elder
