Job Description:

Holy Trinity is seeking a faithful Believer who is prepared to help others approach God in worship of various styles, is able to help others know God through his Word, and is able to inspire and equip others to grow in these areas.  Holy Trinity has two Sunday morning worship services, each with different musical styles and levels of formality:  Contemporary and Traditional.  The Director of Music Ministries is responsible to plan and lead/oversee inspiring music at all worship services, including Sunday worship and other events such as funerals, weddings, conferences, etc.  The traditional worship music is typically led by pipe organ and a choir using liturgies of the Lutheran church. The contemporary worship music is typically led by a praise team, and is music that is written and performed by contemporary artists within in the past ten years.  The Director of Music Ministries works with the Lead Pastor to plan all worship services, and then prepare worship materials such as printed bulletins, projection files, and other leaders’ materials.  Depending on the skill set of the qualified candidate, a part-time organist or praise team leader may be hired to complement those skills.  The Director of Music Ministries is ultimately responsible for planning, rehearsals, and leadership of all music ministries.  The music ministries of Holy Trinity also include a handbell choir, youth praise team, youth worship service, and children’s music.

A smaller component of this position is to oversee an Adult Christian Education program, which includes Sunday School, small group ministries, and occasional teaching.
