  • Lead an overall student ministry that strives to build committed followers of Jesus Christ in the next generation
    • Develop a ministry that intentionally and progressively moves students from the crowd, to the congregation, to community, to the committed and to the core
    • Learn the culture of Junior High and High School students in our city in order to more strategically plan for mission, discipleship and growth
    • Develop and lead a balanced ministry environment that would provide opportunities for evangelism, application-oriented Bible teaching, personal discipleship, and group fellowship for students
    • Continually make, mature, mobilize, and multiply disciples
  • Plan, organize and lead impact events to supplement the ongoing ministry objectives
    • Week-long summer camp
    • Weekend retreats
    • Local outreaches
    • Mission trips
  • Recruit, train and shepherd an adult leadership team who models commitment, and who will teach and disciple students
  • Influence and equip parents to lead their teens toward a missional life
  • Work as a team player in cooperation with other ministries in the church
    • Perform general pastoral duties such as counseling, weddings, funerals, and teaching as necessary
    • Prepare and administer an annual budget and calendar, as well as other administrative responsibilities as pertinent to the student ministry
    • Perform projects as assigned from the Executive Pastor or Lead Pastor
    • Understand and emulate staff values
