Job Description:


POSITION OBJECTIVE: To help our church remain effective and contemporary in all of our communication efforts through the use of strong visual media, social media, and our online presence.

 

THE MEDIA DIRECTOR SHOULD:

  • have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him
  • be a self-starter with drive, passion, initiative, self-motivation, and ability to lead others
  • be teachable and willing to be held accountable
  • be a team player with a positive attitude
  • must possess above-average creative abilities and be able to manage a department in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Production preferred
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects
  • Video production experience
  • Video Editing expertise
  • 5-10 years experience in graphic and video creative design
  • Website management experience
  • Ministry experience preferred


THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR INCLUDE:

  • Participate in team working to plan/implement creative elements within services
  • Develop graphic suites for all Sermon Series/Studies/Church-Wide Events
  • Provide graphics for age-specific ministries
  • Produce Recap Videos for large Church-Wide Events (Baptisms, Compassion Day, VBS)
  • Develop 2-3 min. testimonial "God@Work" videos monthly
  • Develop video to be used in worship and special services (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve)
  • Coordinate and implement communication/promotional needs across ministries
  • Oversee/schedule team of photographers/videographers to capture and archive life of the church
  • Develop and implement plan for effective use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Oversee website updates/development
  • Oversee weekly church bulletin
  • Oversee weekly podcast
  • Develop and manage Church App
