Job Description:

Position: Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Department: Family Ministry

Reports to: Children’s Ministry Director



To serve the families of Chapel Pointe and the community by helping the Children’s Ministry Director provide programing to follow the vision of Chapel Pointe which is “Transformed followers of Jesus passionately responding to God rooted in prayer and equipping disciples."



  • Oversight & Management
  • Oversee the weekday KidsClub (childcare) including schedules, lessons, and communication with Kidsclub workers
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Children’s Ministry programming
  • Maintain and communicate multiple schedules
  • Assist in the management of Sunday morning and Wednesday night programming
  • Oversee ministry supplies/needs for curriculum and classrooms
  • Recruit, Equip and Train
  • Assist in the recruitment of servants (volunteers) and KidsClub workers
  • Help with the on-boarding and training of new servants
  • Serve in rooms when and where needed
  • Encourage
  • Encourage servants through personal contact, appreciation notes, prayer, and community
  • Oversee a prayer time with servants on Sunday mornings
  • Help to create community atmosphere amongst servants
  • Internal & External Partners
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff and team meetings
  • Collaborate on Family Ministry events


Typical Hours

This position requires a minimum of 20 hours but could be more depending on the applicant. Specific hours worked will vary, as events and ministry responsibilities dictate. Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights are required. Most hours will be during business hours Monday – Thursday.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, be detail-oriented and flexible
  • Good written and verbal communication skills via phone, email, and in person
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software and a willingness to learn new applications


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, pursuing a seminary degree a plus
  • Ministry experience preferred
