General Description

The Executive Pastor will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support its ministry. By assisting the Lead Pastor, the Executive Pastor helps to add value to the church's leaders, build a great and ultimately connect people with Christ.

Lead Pastor

 

Core Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of full-time vocational ministry or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and organizations
  • Proven talent for administration, strategy and systems
  • Commitment to the mission of the local church

 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ephesians 4:11-13. Develop a team that is fully qualified to serve God by serving one another.
  1. Live for Jesus! This includes maintaining a personal walk with God, loving your spouse/kids, tithing to the local church, and making a difference in the world. 
  1. Strategic Leadership and Planning: Responsible for strategic planning and staff coordination in  the execution of the church’s mission and vision. Define strategic goals and action plans. The Executive Pastor will provide the catalyzing challenges and activities which allows the church to remains true to its mission and vision, and develop new ministry programs so the church is appropriately responsive to identified needs and church health. This leadership and input will be provided through many activities, including:
  • Coordinating and leading staff meetings in partnership with the Lead Pastor.
  • Facilitating regular meetings with the staff leadership team.
  • Serving as a staff liaison to the Advisory Team. Providing leadership in vision casting and goal setting.
  • Monitoring the pulse of the congregation through research and evaluation of overall health. Included in this is overseeing health based off attendance, giving, volunteers, and total number in Small Groups.
  • Ensuring staffing, facilities and programs are appropriately and effectively aligned to best meet strategic goals.
  • Fulfilling other pastoral and administrative jobs as requested by the Lead Pastor.
