You would be working closely with the Lead Pastor to execute the vision of GVF: making a Gospel impact across our region impact by multiplying disciples, sites, partnerships, & church plants. Much of what you’d be doing is coaching, inspiring, & empowering
the staff and ministry. You would also have some more “traditional” pastoral hats to wear, like training, teaching, & overseeing pastoral care. If we were a football team, you’d be the offensive coordinator, working to execute our game-day plan. If we were
a corporation, you’d be the COO. But, as it turns out, we are a church, so you’ll be called “pastor.”
Here are the major areas you to which you would be contributing:
- Advising on Strategic Decisions & Managing Staff Members (Executive Team).
- Side-by-Side Leader (Staff Liaison to Ministry Leaders).
- Upfront Person (Speaking, Training, Teaching, & Occasional Preaching).
- Under-Shepherd (Pastoral Care).
Bonus Features. You don’t have to do any of these, but we would consider any/all of these an added bonus: passion/ability to train in personal evangelism; interest/experience in budget, facilities, & policymaking; HR experience/knowledge;
ability to do one-armed pushups (just kidding about the last one).
