Crossroads Church of Albert Lea, Minnesota is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Student Ministries. Crossroads is a church of approximate weekend attendance of 550, located in beautiful South-central Minnesota. Albert Lea is a city of 18,000 located
just 90 minutes south of downtown Minneapolis, and 55 miles southeast of Rochester, Minnesota.
The Associate Pastor of Student Ministry has primary responsibility for designing and delivering ministry to students in grades 7-12, and to work with other pastors to provide care for the church body as a whole.
Crossroads Student Impact (CSI) is Crossroads’ primary ministry to grades 7-12. Currently, CSI meets on Sunday evenings, and draws approximately 80 students. The Associate Pastor of Student Ministry:
- works to engage students, and develop relationships with them, through the CSI program
- trains and mentors student leaders who engage formally with CSI planning and leadership
- equips and releases adult volunteers to support Student Ministries
The Associate Pastor of Student Ministries also functions as a pastor to the church. Along with the Senior Pastor, Senior Associate Pastor, and Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministries, this position shares pastoral/sacerdotal duties such as administering
communion, baptism, officiating weddings and funerals. Any pastoral staff may be asked to provide occasional preaching and teaching to the congregation, as the Senior Pastor sees fit to delegate.
