Job Description: Rosewood Reformed Church ( is a growing 49 year old church that loves to laugh as we serve and worship God in Jenison, MI (west of Grand Rapids). In addition to honoring God with our worship, Rosewood is an outreach-oriented church that believes worship and evangelism go hand-in-hand. Rosewood averages 250-300 people in one Sunday morning worship service (9:30 a.m.). Our chosen style of worship is a blend of old and new contemporary praise and worship songs with original and modernized hymns of the faith. The Director of Worship will contribute to Rosewood's mission to "Make Disciples Who Make Disciples of Christ" by connecting people to God through music, worship, and the arts. This is currently a part-time (approx. 20 hours per week) position, depending on experience and range of skills (see below). The Director of Worship will prepare and lead congregational praise and worship on all Sundays. The Director of Worship will work with Rosewood’s Choir Director to schedule and prepare the band to accompany choir as needed.


Personal Qualifications • Growing relationship with Christ, Creative and passionate in preparing and leading worship, Spiritual and emotional maturity, Good interpersonal and communication skills, Able to work well with a team, Effective organizational skills


Primary Responsibilities • Lead worship / music at Sunday worship gatherings in coordination with Lead Pastor and Worship Planning Team to create a Spirit-led worship experience, Build relationships with / disciple team members, Plan and oversee weekly band rehearsals, Schedule weekly worship and tech team volunteers, Supervise Tech Team (audio, visual, lights, media), Recruit and develop worship team members / volunteers, Participate in staff prayer times whenever available, Plan occasional special services (Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, etc.),  Manage worship budget, Lead music at annual Vacation Bible School


Some combination of below skills helpful for position • Knowledge of how to utilize sound system, tech and lighting equipment, Video Editing, Basic IT, Identify and mentor emerging worship leaders
