Assistant Campus Pastor Job Description (10-20 hours)
The Assistant Campus Pastor will serve as the executive arm of our pastoral team while aiding the campus pastor in the carrying out of his leadership and pastoral duties.
Your role will seek to use your personal gifts and technical skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the campus pastor's effectiveness and efficiency. The person in this position will demonstrate organizational skills, as well as an ability
to relate well with a diversity of persons: pastoral staff, office colleagues, church leaders, members, and visitors. They will demonstrate a willingness to grow spiritually and vocationally, exhibiting a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and growing
as an active disciple. The Assistant Campus Pastor will be a cooperative team member in relation with others who share the work environment and responsibilities.
1. Prior ministry experience preferably in a newer church setting
2. Self-initiator who is organized and responsible
3. Ability to recruit and lead teams of people as well as identify and develop other leaders
4. Have a passion to understand, embrace, and engage the culture
5. Confident and Engaging stage presence and communication skills.
6. Have an understanding of technical production.
This is part time (possible full time) staff position for a church in the Lake Norman Region. You will report directly to the Campus Pastor and at times the Lead Pastor. Your primary role is to assist in all areas of campus ministry in helping us
launch a new church in a new region of Lake Norman. Future roles not only include full time support, but the opportunity to plant additional campuses in the future.
Assist with Communication (database management, social media, email service)
Assist with Schedule and Coordinate with Volunteers and Key Leaders of Ministries
Assist in Execution of Sunday Gatherings
Assist in Leadership of core church partners
Assist in Leadership of additional staff and key leaders within campus
Assist in teams for set up/ break down of portable church campus
Coordinate meeting schedule for campus pastor
Attend Staff and Campus meetings
NOTE: a propensity for using newer technology is helpful and must be willing to learn and train on technology after-hours. (Macs, tablets, mobile development, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, Sign Up Genius, Elexio Fusion, Texting Services, etc)
Attend Monthly Staff Meetings
Assist Planning and Leading Discovering Journey at Campus
Assist Campus Pastor and Admin with events like Baby Dedication, Special Gatherings, and any Registration Driven Events
