Faith Chapel is a Christ centered, Spirit-filled, Interdenominational, multi-ethnic and multi-generational church in Huntsville, Alabama. We are seeking a part-time children’s pastor to equip others to disciple children and to manage our Sunday morning
and Wednesday night children’s programs. The position requires church service times (Every Sunday 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 6-8:30 p.m. with Sunday evening programs from time to time) plus Tuesday morning staff prayer and staff meeting from 9:30
a.m.-12 noon. This position will also participate in children’s camp in the summer. We desire for our children’s pastor to recruit and train workers and teachers and to generally be a team player. If we find just the right person who may also be interested
and capable to also do a part-time church financial and secretarial/administrative position, this may be combined into a full-time position.
The following are requirements: fully committed, water baptized, Christian believer, love for children, can pass a background check as it applies to dealing with children and youth, desire to disciple children, team player, on board with churches’ vision
and developing culture of the newer pastor (2 years in position), grace filled, grace oriented, non-legalistic, open to Spirit-filled environments, high view of Scripture that is open to the use of various translations of the Bible such as NKJV, NIV and NLT.
The following are plusses: ministry degree(s), children’s church experience, secular degree(s), musical ability, church ministerial ordination or licensing with Trinitarian Pentecostal/Charismatic Groups (such as Church of God, Assemblies of God, Foursquare,
Open Bible, Pentecostal Holiness) or Bible believing with a high view of scripture from Baptist, Methodist and other compatible backgrounds. Our church does not stress or over emphasize tongues, but we do not forbid tongues in an orderly manner. The pastor
considers himself “Bapti-costal” because of a mixed church and educational background between Pentecostal and Baptist movements.
Recent, younger Bible college and Christian university graduates are encouraged to apply, but we are open to applicants of all ages. We may also be able to offer on church campus housing to younger male applicants. (Females are encouraged to attend, we
are just not currently set up to offer housing to females.)
This is currently a part-time position that will pay about $12,000 a year to start (possibly more depending on experience, education and availability.) There is also a possibility of this being a full time position, if someone is also capable and comfortable
at being a part-time church administrative assistant who will also keep the churches’ books on Quickbooks. However, the priority for hiring is children’s pastor and we may hire two different positions or combine them depending on the person(s).
