If the shoe doesn't fit, it might be time for some new shoes. If you have found it hard to see your fit in church, it might be because you were fit for something different. Maybe East Coast Church is that fit!
East Coast Church is about to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of our Grand Opening Servce and it would be pretty cool to give ourselves a great Birthday present: You on the team!
In our first year, we have seen a pretty excited community develop of people with one common idea: Look into the person of Jesus in an effort to discover the God that Jesus knew and talked about and as a result see our lives and the lives of those we come
in contact with changed for the better here and now.
Our community continues to increase and now so does our ability to consider a paid part time worship leader. The pay is limited but the opportunity for the right person to be a part of something pretty ridiculous is amazing. As the church grows, so does
your role. This means you can begin with little time commitment and receive decent money for it. As the demands of your role incease, so does your compensation.
If you are looking to be a part of a typical contemporary and modern church plant, we are not it. We push the envelope, dream a bigger dream and fight to make visible the just and generous expression of God. We have found that every week our numbers increase
and so does the excitement for a type of church unlike what most have ever experienced. Many of our guests describe their experience with East Coast like this: a genuine community, authentic teaching, relevant to where I am, safe place for doubts and questions,
constantly seeing things I never knew before, inspiring but super practical, having a deeper understanding of God, more in love with God than I ever have been.
I'm not sure where you have been on your spiritual journey but if you are open to be stretched, this might be for you.
If you have an issue seeing all people as equal or if you believe that there are any people groups who should be excluded from the community of believers, this job is not for you.
In fact, check out this video that I stole from Ryan Meeks (East Lake Church, Kirkland, WA) that he stole from Mark Tidd (Highlands Church, Denver, CO) to understand who we are: vimeo.com/148498015
Role would involve taking lead of a developing team. A full band and several vocalists are all in place. An ideal applicant would be able to lead from a guitar with strong vocals. We are not looking to increase "production value" but are instead wanting
someone to allow congregants to experience a moment each week where they can reflect on who they are and where God is working in their lives. By the way, a few of the band members don't fit your typical worship team profile so you gotta be OK with that.
Outside of the Sunday experience, the only requirements is a weekly practice and however many hours to ensure everything is in place for a great Sunday experience. We anticipate this role requiring 10-15 hours per week total (that time includes practice
and Sunday service!) and the pay is reflective of the current need and reality.
To make your job easier, we use planning center, songselect, propresenter and all the normal things that go along with it.
Finally, we meet in a movie theater so if the idea of hard work including set-up and tear down scare you, this might not work out.
However, if you are ready to take a risk and dream for something big then join us in the Paradise that is South Florida. Moving expenses can be included for those needing to relocate. Salary starts at $1,200 per month for the first 3 months. If all goes
well, substantial pay increase should be expected.
East Coast was formed in January 2015 and launched without a planting organization or a deep pocket organization, but unlike most church plants who take that route, we are still financially viable 20 months later due to the wisdom of our Board of Trustees
and our attentive and diligent staff. East Coast currently sits with decent reserves and savings which is something many church plants can't claim so you don't have to fear the church plant implosion that is a reality in many other similar situations.
